How to Pack Fragile Items for Moving: Step-by-Step Packing Guide

Choose Suitable Packing Materials

Use boxes that are strong enough for the weight inside. Depending on the item, useful materials can include packing paper, bubble wrap, foam, corner protection, tape and dividers. Avoid relying on thin shopping bags or weak reused cartons for valuable fragile items.

• Reinforce the bottom of boxes before packing.
• Create a cushioning layer before placing the first item inside.
